About Us

Discovery Education Specialists are experts in special education, psychology, and mental health.   Our mission is to use our knowledge of brain-behavior relationships and educational best practices to support the educational needs and well-being of students with disabilities.  We also understand the current challenges school districts face in meeting the needs of all learners and provide our staff and expertise to support schools with staying in compliance with regulations while providing the high quality of services their students deserve.  

Discovery Education Specialists provide psycho-educational evaluations, neuropsychological evaluations, Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) assessments, Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE), behavior assessment services, and mental health treatment.  What sets Discovery Education Specialists apart is our understanding brain-behavior relationships and our ability to underlying cause of a students challenges in school and how to effectively and efficiently address their needs.  Our backgrounds as school based practitioners and administrators also means that we understand educational regulations, school systems, and what it means to provide a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).  

We also understand the challenges faced by parents of children with disabilities and are here to help.  We work with families to help them understand their children’s strengths and barriers to learning, and connect them with the services and supports they need to help their children.  We provide private psycho-educational and neuropsychological evaluations, mental health counseling, and consultation services.
